There's something truly special about December. The light, the scent of fir, and cozy Christmas movies with the people who mean the most to you. At least, those are some of the things I look forward to the most!

I've always loved Christmas – the peace, coziness, and joy it brings, and that's why I've created an advent calendar that captures precisely that feeling.

Not with chocolate or trinkets – but with handmade jewelry that lasts long beyond December. The design is not overtly "Christmassy" but more festive, and can therefore be worn all year round.

 

What is Opal Smykker's advent calendar?

The advent calendar contains one special piece of jewelry for each of the four Sundays of Advent. Each piece of jewelry is designed and handmade by me (Ea), using the materials I love most: Sterling silver, gold-plated silver, and freshwater pearls.

These are pieces of jewelry that complement each other – but can also stand alone. They are chosen with the idea that you get a little more Christmas spirit and self-indulgence each time you open one of the four boxes.
